St Mary's Old Boy's RFU are
recruiting for their girls section which allows female players to progress from
the current mini structure to girls youth rugby.

It's hoped to encourage more girls into rugby and into a more active lifestyle from an early age. With the aim of providing rugby for all ages at the Club we have an under 15's girls team and an under 18's girls team.
With
women's rugby now one of the fastest growing sports in England, now is a good
time to get started.
You do not need to have played at
mini's level or be really sporty to play rugby - just come along and give it a try!
Any girl aged under 18 can play with our teams. No rugby playing experience or
knowledge is necessary, you do not need to have played mini rugby, you don't
have to be super-fit or a sports star, all you need is to want to try it
out and be prepared to have fun.
Unlike a lot of sports, rugby has a
place for everyone regardless of your fitness, sporting knowledge, shape or
size.
What do I need to wear for
training?
Players are advised to wear t-shirt, shorts,
socks and boots with a tracksuit over the top (or tracky bottoms and
a sweatshirt/hoody). It is advisable to have boots as the pitches get slippery. If you
don't have boots then football or hockey boots would be fine, trainers would also be
fine for your first few sessions.
Socials
Every great rugby team also has a social life and social events
are organised throughout the year.
As we said No experience is necessary,
you do not need to have played mini rugby or be really sporty to play rugby -
just need to come along and give it a try!
Girls Training 10.00 to 12.00 on Sundays and 6.45 until 8.00 on Weds.
